At RHEMA, we learn to use the Inductive Study Method to study the Word of God. We use the powerful tool of Precept’s (https://www.precept.org) Inductive Bible Study Method (a unique method that changes lives and helps people grow in their relationship with God through His Word). We at RHEMA help lead and direct through study, but we know that the true changing power (that is the personal relationship with God) comes not from following RHEMA, but from Scripture itself. We have watched and seen first-hand how this form of study helps individuals know God through His Word and be changed by the truth they discover.
How Are Lessons Conducted?
Scripture assignments are assigned by our instructor based on topics, chapter, or Bible books. We read through the text on our own, noting keywords, key phrases, geographical locations, author, key people, and literary styles. We learn how to make notes and mark our Bibles so that information becomes easy to identify. Then and most important we learn how to interrogate the text, asking questions using the "5 W's and H"; Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How? Between Wednesday Night sessions there may be a short (10-20 minute) assignment to be completed prior to the next session called, "HomeStudy". On Wednesday Night we meet online in our ZOOM Classroom. Please don't let this frighten you away. We have many experts who can walk/talk you through the technology. We use Google Classroom online to communicate assignments and class information.
Where To Find Lessons and Assignments?
Google Classroom (https://classroom.google.com/) is our online classroom. The purpose for using Google Classroom is to allow RHEMA Bible Scholars access to schedules, assignments, handouts, and videos that may be used in Wednesday Night lessons. It is also be a place where the instructor will post recorded Zoom.us sessions so that scholars, who miss the online Zoom session can review lessons, assignments, and discussions at their convenience.
If you desire to learn how to read and understand the Bible or you miss discussing scripture with someone please consider joining us. If you have any further questions, concerns, or feedback please email Elder Harris
